TileCut Pictures Campaign
Hello, thank you for your support with our picture campaign. We are currently developing an app that aims to simplify tile measurements. Your photos enable us to enhance the app for you.
What is TileCut?
Our app is intended to be used in situations when measuring tile spaces becomes cumbersome with conventional methods. For instance, this could be the case when cutting a curve into the tile or when there are cables and pipes in the wall. This is how we want to help in those cases:
1. Place our QR code on a tile nearby the tile space and take a photo of the area using the app. The image processing software requires the QR code as a reference.
2. The app takes care of measuring the open area. After a few seconds, the user receives a dimensioned drawing of the appropriate tile within the app.
3. Now simply transfer the dimensions onto the tile and proceed as usual.
This function is not available in our app yet because we still have to increase the accuracy. For this, we need more data, and that’s where we need your help.
Help us improve the app by sending us those kind of pictures:
1. The photos must depict a situation where conventional measuring with a tape measure would be particularly cumbersome.
2. Several tiles must have already been placed in the picture.
4. Up to 3 photos can be taken from the same spot, and each image should be captured from different suitable angles or positions.
5. The QR code must lie flat on the ground (or be taped flat to the wall). There should be no visible gap between the QR code and the tile.
6. The visibility of the QR code must not be affected by dirt or light reflections on the plastic.
How can I take part?
